About Tangle With SuZen
Hello, I'm Sue! And I'm so glad you're here...
I’m a Certified Zentangle Teacher, and I guide people to create unique, expressive art in a calm and supportive environment. No previous experience is needed. Zentangle uses simple, repetitive, structured patterns drawn one line at a time, allowing creativity to unfold gently while supporting relaxation and focus.
I trained as a general and mental health nurse in the 1980s and spent over 30 years working in the clinical research industry. For the past 25 years, my roles focused on people management, training, and corporate leadership, giving me a deep understanding of how wellbeing, confidence, and creativity are nurtured over time.
Alongside my professional career, I’ve always been a multi-passionate creative. Art, crafts, and writing (especially poetry!) have been a constant presence in my life. I’m also deeply interested in meditation, self-care, and positive psychology, and how simple practices can support emotional wellbeing.
More recently, I chose to step away from full-time work, not to slow down completely, but to refocus my energy on what matters most to me. As I embark on a calmer, slower pace of life with my husband and our two dogs, now that our family has grown up, I’ve become even more aware of the need for all of us to dedicate time to self-care in this busy and sometimes chaotic world.
Through the Zentangle Method, I support people in reconnecting with their creativity while gently enhancing emotional wellbeing. All that’s needed is an open mind and a willingness to trust the process.
